Katie
For weeks leading up to Katie’s senior portrait shoot, it had been cold, rainy and gray, which is the norm for November in Northeast Ohio. The day of the shoot, however, was a perfect fall day!. If you know anything about November in Ohio, you’ll know what a treat this was! We had an unseasonably warm 65 degree sunny day, and there were still colorful leaves on most of the trees. This all made for perfect, golden light.
So, on this bright sunny day, my husband and I travelled to Cleveland, Ohio. (My husband comes with me to help out with carrying my stuff and running back to previous locations when I forget to pick up my 50mm lens!). I had such a good feeling about this shoot from the start, and the weather, the colors, the light and Katie certainly delivered. I couldn’t be happier with the way these portraits turned out. Katie was a natural, and those eyes!
We started at the soccer stadium to get these shots in her uniform. I love the orange!
I thought I’d try some more “artistic” portraits. I shot these through the net.
After the soccer portraits, we went into Cleveland and shot the next series of portraits around the Cleveland Museum of Art. There are some amazing locations around this building. We only scratched the surface! Katie’s outfit is the best!! She’s got great style. And again – those eyes!!
For our last portrait location, we stopped at one of the stone bridges that you can find periodically as you drive through the Cleveland Metroparks. They’re big, and gothic and really pretty amazing. Katie’s second outfit was as amazing as her first!
I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect shoot! Katie killed it! You can go here to see the full gallery if you’d like.
